There has been a bit of confusion going around about some of the upcoming changes. Some info got out into the wild before we had finalized the details and one change that we did finalize is now being reverted based on player feedback received.

Here is the official list of changes we are implementing for the upcoming year...

IPC QUARTERLY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS and IPC QUARTERLY POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP

The prize pool at these two events has increased from $500 to $1,000.

VIP MEMBERSHIPS

We are once again offering a $299 option that will get you into the next 12 VIP Invitational tournaments following the date of purchase, plus double add-ons at daily points tournaments. We will offer this option continuously throughout the year and will NOT reduce the number of events each month. Whether you buy in January or buy in June or buy in October, you will still receive seats at the next 12 scheduled VIP Invitational tournaments.

MONTHLY VIP INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENTS

Beginning with VIP Invitational #72, the prize pool at these events has had to be reduced to $3,000 but we have made other changes to help make up for the difference. Players who still had additional events remaining on their VIP Membership have been given 1 or 2 free events to make up for reduced prize potential.

If your Max Event was 72,73, or 74 on 12/30, you were given 1 free event.
If your Max Event was 75,76, or 77 on 12/30, you were given 2 free events.

DEALER CLASSES

We have reduced the cost of the dealer class from $35 to $30 for first-time students and are also offering re-certifications for $20 to students whose certification has expired. Remember that an added perk of being a Certified Dealer is that Certified Dealers receive a $100 bonus for winning any Dealer Tournament.

DEALERS BONUS CHIPS

The chip bonus for Certified Dealers will increase from DOUBLE to TRIPLE. Currently, Certified Dealers receive 2000 chips before break and 4000 after break which is double the amount that a non-certified dealer receives. They will now receive 3000 chips before break and 6000 after break.
